Hi, All... I was scanning through my Flyer .94 manual, (the LightWave
section), on on page 16 of the Layout section, under the Camera menu (under
the heading CREATING KEYFRAMES) I happened to see something called GOALS.
The manual said:
"...you could pull on a robots finger and it's arm would follow (as far as ic
can, of course.)"
Of course. Correct me if I'm wronbg, but isn't this Inverse Kinematics?
I'm assuming this is something that SHOULDN'T be in the manual, since the
method of activating it (when editing an object or bone, the TARGET button
becomes a GOAL button), the GOAL button doesn't appear. My guess is that
it's for LW 4.0.
If I'm right, it looks pretty easy to implement, and works with bones &
objects. It trys to make the pivot point point at the Goal object (say, a
null), that you can move around, while moving any parent objects around
with it. (uh, yeah...). Can anyone with LW 4.0 pre-release clear this up?
JG, Allen, Mark? Thanx, all...
